Kim van Leuken
Is a Freelance Surf(ac)er Pattern Designer with an Aloha Lifestyle for Fashion and Interior products, striving for sustainable and healthy solutions.
Graduated at the Design Academy Eindhoven I specialized in Concepts and Textiles. I started my career as a Trend forecaster at Li Edelkoorts Studio in Paris. Continuing as a freelancer I started doing Trend forecast and Art direction for the Interior Design and Fashion Design field.Through the demand of a translation of the trend concepts into designs, I now do both.
So far I worked for well known fashion-, interior- and product designers and for high end Hotel brands and labels. Such as O'Neill Europe, Marlies dekkers, de Bijenkorf and Marcel Wanders where I worked for projects like Hyatt hotels, Mondrian Hotels, Kameha hotels and many more.
I come up with sparkling new and vivid ideas who distinguish my patterns from the mass market and places a brand in a higher position in the market.
Besides design, I’m consulting in formulating your company’s visions and DNA to set a base for collections.
Due my own interest, I developed a fair amount knowledge for sustainable and cradle-to-cradle solutions and I’m happy to advice your company to set environmental goals.
Currently I developed my own wallpaper which is available in the shop
